Latest Dojo update reveals the basics...
The latest daily update on the official Smash Brothers Brawl website has helped lend an insight into how the basic punching and kicking controls work in the game, as well as how you can pull off some of the smash moves.
The update explains the basic standard attack which is achieved simply by pressing A on the Wiimote (when attached with Nunchuk), A on the Gamecube controller, B on the Classic Controller and 2 when using the remote alone, (yes - controls are shown for all four options). This simple premise will come as no surprise to fans of the series. Strong attacks also remain unchanged pressing the same attack button but with a tilt of the analogue stick (or the D-Pad if using the Wii-mote alone). Finally Smash Moves are the same as Strong attacks, just instead of tilting the analogue stick, or pressing the D-Pad you are tapping it rapidly.
One part of the update worth mentioning is when the guide instructs the reader that if At first, don't overthink things. It's OK to just tilt the stick and mash some buttons. Ease yourself into it. This will certainly not endear the game to hardcore fighters who get frustrated at button mashers who manage to somehow pull off all the best moves.
