Smilebit were Sega's leading subsidiary last year, with games such as Jet Set Radio Future, Gunvalkyrie and Panzer Dragoon Orta, as well as some Japan-only GBA games. So far they have released no GameCube games, don't they like us? Takayuki Kawagoe of Smilebit says this in an interview with the Japanese Dorimag magazine...
Question: GameCube is the only platform Smilebit doesn't support, why?
Kawagoe-san: We plan to support the GameCube. At the moment we're still researching the hardware and trying to decide the best software to develop for it.
Good news then, Sega's leading team want to make a GameCube game, and they want to do it right. The new Jet Set Radio perhaps? We can only hope.
