Forget the skinning of Raccoons, Nintendo goes one better with this limited edition 3DS*

In its short time with us the 3DS has seen some amazing special editions units but none quite top this beautiful snake skin 3DS from Konami.

This 3DS is set to release alongside Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater in Japan yet there has been no mention (and it most likely won't) as to if/when this special edition 3DS will release in Europe.

Despite Konami not officially giving this a full reveal, Hideo Kojima let slip about it anyway on his Twitter account.

Konami have yet to confirm whether the new 3DS will come packaged in a cardboard box though it's been stated that they most likely won't as unassuming customers may accidently buy a 3DS instead of their weekly box of oranges/box of grown man with deep voice.

The game launches in Japan on March 8th.
