Sega's Mike Hayes assures fans that Sonic 4: Episode 2 is still coming.

With Sonic 4: Episode 1 launching last year and Sega remaining quiet about the next episode many fans feared that it was quietly dropped but CEO Mike Hayes has confirmed that Sonic 4: Episode 2 is still in development and more information will be unveiled "soon".

Speaking to VG247 Mike Hayes couldn't say when exactly more information will be available but did confirm that the first episode did well on the numerous platforms it was released for. In fact it continues to do well even months after it was first released:

"It did very well and it continues to do well. Particularly when it gets a little shot in the arm with some promotion or some price activity, sales are quite phenomenal. Its downloaded clearly over a million units, so its sold particularly well and continues to sell."
