Sega announced that Sonic Team will reveal the next Sonic game in July at the upcoming World Hobby Fair in Japan. World Hobby Fair will be held on July 13 and 14. The next game in the Sonic The Hedgehog series does not have a specified console to appear on.

Sega also announced that Super Monkey Ball 2 will be playable at World Hobby Fair in Sega's own booth. Sega will be offering a rare chao download for showgoers.
