Professional skaters such as Tony Hawk will be promoting Sonic Generations with a TV special to be aired next month.

In a rather unusual promotional move it has been announced that Sega and ASA Entertainment will team up to host a skating event to honour the upcoming release of Sonic Generations.

'Sonic Generations of Skate' will bring together skaters from a number of different generations such as Tony Hawk, Pierre Luc Gagnon, Steve Caballero, Andy Macdonald, Lincoln Ueda and more. The event will also give attendees the opportunity to preview Sonic Generations a week before its official launch.

Anyone who is unable to make it to California on October the 22nd, which we assume will be most people as tickets are already sold out, can look forward to the event being played on Fox Sports Network on November 25th. There is no word yet as to whether or not it will be shown on any European stations.
