Sonic has been announced for Super Smash Bros. Brawl. New trailers inside...
It was bound to happen. Sonic the Hedgehog has been announced as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. He'll be using lots of fast moves, spins and will be able to transform into Super Sonic.
Nintendo have also released two new trailers:

Brawl has been delayed in Japan until the 24th January 2008. Furthermore, the US Smash Bros. Dojo has changed the US date from 3rd December until "TBD". It looks like Brawl is being delayed until early 2008 worldwide (meaning Europe may not get it too long after the other territories after all).
