It's... the PlayStation 2!

Launching in Europe during the first half of next year, Sony has today revealed it will be bringing out a further updated model of the seven-year-old PlayStation 2.

The power supply is now contained within the console, and it is also slightly lighter than the previous redesign. Launching in Charcoal Black, Ceramic White and Satin Silver, matching vertical stands will sell separately.

The console is scheduled to hit Japanese stores later this month, just in time for Christmas.
