Soul Calibur was one of, if not the, best fighting game for the Dreamcast, and some say the best fighting game period. People that weren't interested in this genre before Soul Calibur came out were quickly introduced to one of the finest gaming moments in recent memory.

Of course Soul Calibur 2 isn't going to move too far away from this sound formula. With Namco simply moving the series on in a evolving fashion, with gameplay tweaks to further balance the characters, and many obvious graphical enhancements over their previous version.

Also the GameCube version will feature none other than Nintendo's Link of Legend of Zelda fame as a playable character.
