A special event occurred yesterday in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl...

Pokémon Diamond and Pearl have sold over 12.5 million units combined to date, and there have been over 10 million Wi-Fi trades between trainers worldwide (it seems that everyone is trying to be the very best). With a fanbase that large, it only makes sense that you need to keep them entertained months after release. And so GameFreak announced the other day that they had a surprise planned for the loyal Pokémaniacs who booted up their copies of the popular DS games on January 12th.

The 'surprise' is nothing to get excited over however. If you visit Snowpoint City, the snow will sparkle. It's a nice touch, but sure to be a let down for those expecting the Arceus sidequest to become activated. If you missed the event yesterday, just set your DS clock back to January 12th and absorb the glittery wonderland of snow. Check out the video below.
