Junction Point's chief reveals his burning desire to make a Duck Tales game...
Many of you will no doubt remember DuckTales. The adventures of Scrooge McDuck and his nephews were a huge hit for Disney in the late 80's, and the TV series spawned a whole range of media.
The more video game-centric fans probably will have sampled Capcom's NES iteration of DuckTales. The game is perhaps most remembered today for a certain lunar-themed piece from the soundtrack.
Now, in an interview with Game Informer, self-confessed Disney nut Warren Spector has revealed his own ambitions to make another DuckTales game.
"I would really like to do a Duck Tales game. I love the Duck Tales TV show, but even more people who love them need to go back and rediscover Carl Barks, who is the greatest comic book writer and artist of all time, ever, anywhere in the world. Carl Barks is number one and about half of the Duck Tales stories were based on Carl Barks' comic books. I want to do a Duck Tales game real bad. I don't know if Disney will let me do it. And the Gremlins, too."
Spector has just finished development of Disney's Epic Mickey on Wii. Who knows? If that game meets expectations, Disney may let Spector get his hands on another gem in their catalogue.
