Spider-Man faces his greatest challenge - saving Spider-Man.

Beenox, the development studio that worked on Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, is making a brand new Spider-Man game that connects the storylines from the contemporary Amazing Spider-Man and futuristic Spider-Man 2099 comics.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time is described as an action-adventure title that connects the two timelines and the new "cause-and-effect" gameplay element will mean any changes in one timeline may affect the other.

Spider-Man 2099 co-creator Peter David will work with Beenox in the creation of this title that will see Spider-Man trying to save himself from his own untimely death. WonderCon 2011 attendees will get a sneak peak of the title over the weekend so stay tuned for updates.
