In a surprising move, Ubisoft announced via press release that all versions of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, the third title in the series, will be released in March of 2005. The game will be available for the Xbox, PS2, GameCube and PC.

The delay doesn't really affect Cube or PS2 owners much since the game had been slated for a 2005 release on those platforms anyway. However, Ubisoft originally planned to launch the Xbox and PC versions this November.

Ubisoft didn't go into much detail, but cited the desire for a simultaneous launch on all platforms as the reason for the delay. From a business standpoint it makes sense since they'll only have to market the game once now.
