A new racer heads to the WiiWare service, but is it going to crash and burn? That's the idea...
The latest issue of Nintendo Power has unveiled a brand new game for the WiiWare service, and the first racing game to be announced for it: SPOGS Racing, a game where the whole idea is to crash into your opponents and harvest their car parts.
Developed by D2C Games, SPOGS sees you either crashing your own car into your enemies in order to cause as much damage as possible, or driving as close to them as possible, allowing you to commandeer spare parts such as pre-owned engines, brakes, and tailpipes.
The game also allows you to pull off tricks on ramps and loops and make your car spin off, drift and flip over. The SPOG racers are also equipped with six different weapons (which we imagine will work in a Mario Kart-esque way) to allow you to slow down your opponents and 'mug them' more easily.
In addition to three different control schemes, SPOGS Racing also comes with several different available modes, including quick races, a battle mode and a season mode (which sees you racing on all the available tracks).
Nintendo, for the last time (or probably not), please just give Europe a damn launch date for WiiWare!
