Square-Enix is changing its name in Europe and the US.

In a move which is sure to rock the gaming world to its' very core, Square-Enix have announced that the US and European subsidiaries of the group -based in California and London respectively, will be changing their names from Thurday the 1st of July.

No longer will they be known as "Square-Enix USA Inc" and "Square-Enix Europe Ltd". Instead they will be renamed to "Square-Enix Inc" and "Square-Enix Ltd" respectively. This is an attempt to get more recognition for the company as a worldwide brand, apparently

We're betting that some guy in a suit got paid a heck of a lot of money to come up with this revolution in names.
