Both new DS and Wii instalments of Square-Enix's Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles series have been shown off. Details inside.

The annual Square-Enix Party is running this year tomorrow and the day after (May 12th and 13th), but in the event's pre-conference today, the company showed off the two new titles in its Final Fantasy spin-off series.

First off was Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates for the DS, a title which is slated to be a sequel to the original GameCube title. A release date of August 23rd was revealed for Japan, which pins hopes high for a Western release before the end of the year.

The new Wii title The Crystal Bearers was also shown, as with the DS version in video form only. The main character is apparently a blonde who sports a pair of goggles, and apparently the game is programmed for wide-screen.

No doubt we'll hear more over the next few days on these titles, which apparently will be playable over the course of the event. More as it comes in.
