For anyone who was hoping for a Monster Hunter 3DS announcement at Capcom Captivate prepare for disappointment.

A few weeks ago it was rumoured that Capcom had intended to announced a 3DS version of Monster Hunter at the Monster Hunter Festa event last month but delayed it due to the earthquake that hit Japan on March 11th.

Fans quickly latched onto the hope that the announcement had merely been delayed to Capcom's annual 'Capcom Captivate' event as the company had been promising some big reveals. The press conference took place yesterday and nothing was mentioned.

According to a tweet from Capcom Europe there was indeed no Monster Hunter news at the event. So now fans will have to stay hopeful that it will be announced at E3 in June although at the moment its existence is still just a rumour.
