News: Street Fighter Bonanza!

Capcom are hosting an event in Japan to celebrate Street Fighter's fifteenth anniversary.

Japanese gamers and members of the public are attending Street Fighter's 15th birthday party hosted by it's creators, Capcom. The company are hosting the event to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Street Fighter being released, as well as to revel in the glory of all it's sequels. The beat-em-up series set the trend for nearly every single beat-em-up since, the phenomenon spawned a movie and Street Fighter II is considered by many to be one of the greatest fighting titles of all time.

The event is taking place in Asobitto, the doors opened on Friday, and the exhibition finishes tomorrow. There are plans to take the event to other regions of Japan, but no solid details have been released. Attendees, who will have to pay the equivalent of 3 euros to get in, will get the chance to listen to talks by the developers, have autographs signed and also a costume contest is taking place. An art gallery containing Street Fighter art will also be present.
