Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition has become the first 3DS title to ship one million copies.

Since it was released in Japan at the end of February, Capcom has confirmed that Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition has gone on to ship one million copies worldwide, making it the first 3DS title to do so. In spite of being previously released on consoles it has gained commercial and critical success. The title has been celebrated by many critics and we gave the game 9/10 in our review.

The series as a whole has sold 31 million units for home consoles since it began in the 1990's, so for Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition to have shipped 1 million units in just under two months is very impressive.
