News: Street Fighter X Tekken For 3DS?

Yoshinori Ono revealed in a recent interview that Street Fighter X Tekken may appear on 3DS.

Yoshinori Ono, responsible for the recent Street Fighter IV on 3DS, reveals that Street Fighter X Tekken may also appear on the 3D handheld in a recent interview with Siliconera.

Yoshinori Ono has also revealed that he would like to release an 'Arcade Edition' of Street Fighter IV but hasn't yet had the chance due to other projects keeping him busy.

In the interview, Yoshinori Ono spoke about the upcoming PS3 and 360 versions of Street Fighter X Tekken and weighed in on how the two fighting games will work together and compliment each other despite their quite different fighting styles.

When asked about whether or not the game will appear on 3DS he had this to say:

"It's possible. For the 3DS, I wanted to do an [Super Street Fighter IV:] Arcade Edition version, but I haven't had a chance to do that because of all the other things I'm up to. At the company, we're debating should we go for an AE port on 3DS? Should we skip that and go straight to Street Fighter x Tekken? There are a lot of things up in the air, so I can't say for sure what our next 3DS project will be."

It has already been previously stated that Street Fighter x Tekken may appear on a handheld so maybe the 3DS is what Capcom have in mind.
