News: Studio Archcraft Looking Into WiiWare

Studio Archcraft have revealed that they are looking into WiiWare as a stepping stone to Wii development.

Project Exile is a Japanese-style RPG created by Studio Archcraft for the DS. Starting out life as a GBA game, the title has seen a particularly long development cycle of 5 years so far. The fact that the game is said to be inspired by classics such as Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI coupled with the rather epic development cycle should ensure that Project Exile has more quality than a box of Christmas chocolates.

Speaking to Cubed3, Studio Archcraft revealed that they are seriously looking at WiiWare development at the moment, and that they see it as a stepping stone for new developers to enter the market and eventually go on to Wii development. Perhaps this means we'll be seeing some RPG loving on WiiWare in the future?

In addition to this, it was revealed that Project Exile (renamed to Black Sigil: Blade of the Exiled) will be released in Q2 2008, and the team are considering making a sequel on the DS.
