News: Suda Wants Travis In Smash Bros

Care to unleash some punk ass-candy on Nintendo's finest? If Suda 51 is to have his way...

Despite only having appeared in one released game so far, Travis Touchdown has become one of gaming's most popular cult icons. While the anti-hero will be getting his second game next year in the form of No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle, creator Goichi Suda would love to see him branch out and finally gain the stardom he so nerdily craves in No More Heroes.

And what other way to hit the big-time than appear in the most popular ensemble franchise on the planet? Suda 51 has spoken on the subject of Travis in Smash Bros.

"I love him (Travis), and I want him to be a huge star. That's why I'm working very hard to make this game as interesting as possible. Maybe in the future, we can see him fighting alongside Link in the next Smash Bros. [laughs] That would be great."

With third party favourites such as Solid Snake and Sonic already having made an appearence in Brawl, it certainly wouldn't be too farfetched to see Travis lay out some blueberry cheese brownies on Pikachu in the future.
