News: Super Mario All-Stars Top Japanese Charts

In what may not be much of a surprise, Super Mario All-Stars takes the top spot this week in Japan. Also confirmed for a US release this December.

This week saw the release of Super Mario All-Stars, which celebreates the 25th anniversary of Mario, finally knocking Pokémon Black and White from it's comfort zone at the top of the charts. Super Mario All-Stars sold through 308,000 units in total this week beating the 82,000 that Pokémon Black and White had making it's total sales number over 4.2 million so far since it's launch.

Super Mario All-Stars is currently set for a December 3rd release in Europe and December 12th in the US. This pack a 32 page history booklet of Mario and also a CD with a selection of music from the entire series, all for a budget price of �19.99. The game includes the original Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 2, Super Mario Bros 3 and The Lost Levels.
