As Nintendo's 3DS encroaches, the signs that the company's internal development teams are now focussing on the handheld side of things become ever more apparent.

In the latest Iwata Asks, Nintendo general producer and all-round demigod Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed that he's developing a new Super Mario Bros. game for 3DS

Miyamoto-san added that he was particularly looking forward to showing off what the game will be like on the unique hardware the 3DS has to offer. It sounds like we might be seeing quite a bit of this game come E3, or perhaps even sooner.
