News: Super Mario Galaxy Info

Famitsu reveals some more Super Mario Galaxy news to tide us over. Find out the latest inside...

Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu revealed some more info on Super Mario Galaxy, which is scheduled to hit Europe in the fourth quarter of this year. The game will be divided into 6 worlds with a total amount of 120 stars to collect including planets in the form of water, sand and doughnuts!

As known previously, gravity of the planets will affect gameplay: for example how far you are able to jump, even when Mario is transformed into a Bee, when he will of course be able to fly and also sting his opponents with the familiar 'Butt Stomp' making a return!

Lastly the magazine revealed some information on the co-op mode, where a second player picks up a Wii-mote. The second player can then use the collected star shards and shoot them at enemies when in danger, or if you think your up to it, you can save up the star pieces to gain an extra life!
