Namco cancels their recently announced DS pinball game starring hungry do-gooder Pac-Man.

Namco today revealed that the game Super Pac-Man Pinball DS, despite being announced earlier this week, has been cancelled.

The game, purportedly a follow-up to the recent Pac-Man Pinball Advance for the GBA, was in development at Rubik Interactive with an anticipated Fall release. As of this writing, no details were given for the game's cancellation.

Not all is lost for DS-owning pinball gurus however...there is another, in the form of Nintendo's Metroid-themed pinball offering, currently under development by the same team that crafted last Fall's Mario Pinball Land for the GBA.
