RPG fans - the wait is (almost) finally over. Namco announces a release for Europe plus a few extra goodies...
While gamers in Japan and America have been continuing the epic Symphonia storyline for months now, Europeans have been stranded without a release date for GameCube's greatest RPG. Now though, Namco Bandai have finally confirmed that Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World will see a European release this Autumn.
To be distributed by Atari, the PAL version also features a couple of neat extras exclusive to Europeans. Players can unlock an all-new Gallery mode on completion of the main story campaign, which shows off concept art and skits from the game. Also new is the addition of more masks and headgear for the main characters.
Dawn of the New World picks up in the aftermath of the events of Symphonia, where the world is far from peace, despite the salvation of Sylvarant and Tethe'alla. The sequel introduces a range of new protagonists as well as bringing back the old cast.
It's been a long time coming, so is there still interest in this significant title on the relatively RPG-dry Wii? Leave your comments below...
