Grand Theft Auto developers Take Two give some insight into their current relationship with Nintendo, and skirt the idea of a GTA for the Wii...
Take Two's CEO Ben Feder has made some interesting comments regarding the growing relationship between the GTA developer and the supposedly 'family friendly' Nintendo. He also confirmed that the upcoming DS title Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars would see release Q1 2009 in the States, no later than February 1st.
According to Feder, the company has invested "an enormous amount of time and effort" to get the game released, building a "partnership" with Nintendo:
"It's not a one-way relationship in any way. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is not even the first step, but an important step, in continuing to develop that relationship."
Could this relationship extend to a GTA title for the Wii?
"Without commenting on whether GTA is coming to the Wii or not, Nintendo and Take-Two work very well together; Nintendo and Rockstar work well together, and we are continuing to grow that relationship."
