We now have some new details on Tales of Symphonia: Knights of Ratatosk for the Wii.

Knights of Ratatosk will take place 3 years after the events of the original Tales of Symphonia. All the main characters from the previous games will make an appearance but are so far unplayable. Instead, the game will follow Emile Castagnie and Malta, both of whom are 16 years old.

Movement is taken away form the analogue stick, and now the Wii Remote's pointer will do the job of navigating. Another new addition to Knights of Ratatosk is the ability to capture monsters and using them in battles. Bandai Namco also promise a higher texture resolution than Tales of Symphonia.

Tales of Symphonia: Knights of Ratatosk is planned for release in Spring 2008 for Japan. You can check out the Japanese teaser site here.
