Today Namco of Japan announced their intent to hold off on the release of Tales of the Tempest until late Spring. Citing the desire to allow their development team more time to really polish the title (or "Quality Up" the game, as proclaimed in the announcement) , the newest RPG in the popular Tales series has been pushed back from April 13th to June 8th.

This can ultimately only mean positive things for the game, an important DS release for Namco which recently cited less than stellar sales of many of their DS titles for their lowered earnings in the previous fiscal year. It should also be pointed out that Europe and the US had yet to be given a concrete release date anyway, so for all we know the plans for us have not changed. Either way, R-E will keep you updated with further news on the game.
