Bandai has released the first images showcasing Tamagochi for the Nintendo DS. Nintendogs, watch your back!

Bandai announced two months ago it will be bringing the Tamagochi virtual pet concept to a dual-screened console near you. The game is set for a September release in Japan. We are interested to see if this game will be able to lift on Nintendog's recent success in Japan.

Today the first two screens were released showing a little of the game. How Bandai will exactly make the Tamagochi concept work on the dual screens of the DS is still unknown. It seems it will be a cartoon-style game... with crying... thingies. Yes, we will keep you updated as we get our hands on more information.
