Bandai's official website for their forthcoming DS offering goes live.

Tamagotchi DS, the apparently dual-screened version of Bandai's long-lived Tamagotchi property (originally a small device that kicked off the whole virtual-pet craze), now has a website. The catch, its in japanese. The site isn't exactly filled with game content information, but it IS filled with almost frighteningly cute art of little monster buddies.

Either way, fans of hyper-cute virtual pets will likely find their interest piqued, particularly for a system like the DS (that has already seen one perhaps world-breaking virtual-pet title. One guess what that would be...) Will this make it to Europe? No word yet, but hey, Europe did get Sprung so nothing is off-limits, so to speak.
