Great news for fighting fans! Capcom's crossover brawler will see a US release!

The latest issue of Nintendo Power has shipped to subscribers, and readers were greeted with a treat when the magazine confirmed that Tatsunoko vs. Capcom will indeed see a US release. No indication of when, but hey, it's better than nothing.

The text in the top-right corner reads "They said it could happen, but it is! Tatsunoko vs Capcom is coming to North America."

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom was released on Wii in Japan last year. The quirky arcade fighter sees Capcom greats like Ryu and Viewtiful Joe square off against the colourful characters of the Tatsunoko animation universe. The game boats a similar style to Capcom's Street Fighter 4.

The magazine preview unfortunately didn't reveal additional content for western markets. Nor was there any mention of a European release at this point, but surely Capcom won't leave us out in cold?

Update: An official over at Capcom's European forums has confirmed to fans that the title will indeed see the light of day in Europe:

"Yes, it's coming to Europe. That's all I can say for the moment."
