The developers of upcoming WiiWare blast Super Meat Boy reveal they're to leave the franchise well alone for now...

While Super Meat Boy recently released on Xbox Live Arcade to some glowing reviews, it's probable that a minority will be aware the game's first non-Flash release was penned for WiiWare, following a request by Nintendo. Our version is apparently due next month, but the developers are already looking to the future.

Speaking to Eurogamer, Team Meat's Edmund McMillen revealed that the two-man studio would be working on a brand new game for their next project.

"There will be another game but it won't be Meat Boy. It'll be totally new... We'd be lying if we said we hadn't talked about the next game � because we very much have. But thinking about it right now makes me want to stab myself in the stomach as hard as I can. With a gun."
