Team NINJA's leader Yosuke Hayashi talks about Dead or Alive: Dimensions, Metroid and more.
With the recent release of Dead or Alive: Dimensions Yosuke Hayashi, the leader of Team NINJA, has been speaking to many outlets about the title. He recently spoke with Nintendo about the title and how it came to be.
Mr. Hayashi commented on how they have worked hard to make full use of the 3DS' display by using the added depth to encourage gamers to use the environments within battles. In addition to this he spoke about Dead or Alive: Dimensions in relation to other fighting games, what they have improved since Dead or Alive 4 and how it uses StreetPass and SpotPass.
When it was first announced that Dead or Alive: Dimensions would feature a stage based on Metroid: Other M many gamers anticipated that Samus would be a playable character. Team NINJA worked on Metroid: Other M and this is why Nintendo allowed them to include the stage but according to Yosuke Hayashi that was all that wanted to do. Commenting on why there is not more of a crossover between the two titles he states:
Since both of these titles have a long history in their own right I think it would be inappropriate for these two to mix too much into each other's affairs any more than this. Rather than this I want to play a new Metroid game!
