The latest on the new DS version of Tetris is that it will support ten players at once!

A screenshot for the upcoming classic puzzle remake has surfaced, and shows the game in multiplayer mode with ten other players, the DS' top screen showing all other the player's screens while the bottom one displays your own. Players are distinguished by a customisable name and icon, similar to Mario Kart DS.

Items will also be used in multiplayer, with a Boo-like ghost being one of those available.

It is important to state that it is unknown if ten players will be able to play online via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, or whether the game only supports ten players in local wireless play.
