The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe will be released on the GameCube, Game Boy Advance and DS this Winter. Find out fresh new details inside.

A recent press release has outlined some new details on the new game, based on the new film based on the old book. "Building on the fantastical worlds and amazing creatures portrayed in the film, the teams are developing an action/adventure epic video game where players will be captivated by remarkable characters, heart pumping combat and rich environments that could only exist in the land of Narnia."

The game will allow players to enter the world of Narnia, a land which is frozen in a 100 year winter by the evil White Witch. In order to overcome this suppression the lion Aslan plans to evoke an ancient prophecy. Four siblings, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie, must work together and help Aslan defeat the White Witch.

During the game players will need to take control of these four siblings, and use their unique combat skills and powers to defeat enemies such as Minotaurs, Minoboars, Cyclops, Werewolves, Wraiths, Ankleslicers, Wolves, Boggles and more.

The creatures in the game are based on those in the upcoming film. The game will also feature puzzle-elements, two-player action and "seamless game play integration with real film footage." The game and film are due out in December.
