VIVENDI UNIVERSAL GAMES (October 14th 2003) - announced today that the PlayStaion�2, XboxTM and Nintendo GamecubeTM versions of The Simpsons: Hit & Run will be available in stores one week earlier than expected. "The Simpsons: Hit and Run has been widely acclaimed as the best Simpsons game to date, and we are really pleased to offer gamers the opportunity to buy the title a week earlier than originally planned" commented George Georgiou, Marketing Director at VUGames UK. Developed in collaboration with Gracie Films and series creator Matt Groening, The Simpsons Hit & Run is a "must-have" for both gamers and fans alike.
Developed by Radical Entertainment and licensed by Twentieth Century Fox Licensing and Merchandising, The Simpsons Hit & Run is a hilarious mission-based driving game featuring the signature humour of The Simpsons set in the interactive world of Springfield U.S.A., featuring such locations as the Kwik-E-Mart, the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant and Moe's Tavern. Players will be challenged to explore more than 50 driving and on-foot missions as one of five playable characters - Homer, Bart, Marge, Lisa, and Apu.

The Simpsons Hit & Run also features 49 hidden collector cards containing episode-specific bonus material from the many seasons of the television show as well as loads of in-game animated gags and jokes, giving fans of The Simpsons all of the humor and wit of Springfield and its citizens.
The Simpsons Hit & Run will be available to buy from October 31st on PlayStation�2, XboxTM and Nintendo GameCubeTM for a suggested retail price of �39.99 with a PEGI "7+" rating. A PC CD-Rom version will also be available to buy from 21st November for a suggested retail price of �34.99.
