News: The Sims 3DS Details

The Sims franchise is making its debut with the aptly titled The Sims 3DS.

The worldwide success of The Sims means that it should come as no surprise that a 3DS title is in the works. The Sims 3DS will utilise the 3DS' technology in a variety of ways. A 3D recreation of your Sim will be shown on the top screen while the bottom screen shows off a full map.

In addition to this Andriasang reports that according to the latest issue of Famitsu you can shake the 3DS to make money fall from the sky but if you shake it too much an earthquake will occur. The camera can be used to take a photo of yourself and re-create yourself in Sims form.

Updates will be available via Wi-Fi and you can even exchange Sims with others through the Street Pass mode. While you can control your Sim and define their looks, personalities and goals they will inform you about what they want through "Moodlet" icons that show how they feel. A "Karma Power" mode will also be included that allows you to completely change your Sims lives.

The game is due out in the Spring, around the time of the release of the console itself. A scan from Famitsu can be found below.
