News: They Come and Go

The previously Xbox exclusive Enclave by Starbreeze Studios is officially confirmed for GameCube, meanwhile THQ says Toxic Grind will become Xbox exclusive. Oh, and thanks to N-Philes for the heads up.

It has been reported that Starbreeze Studios' third-person action-adventure game Enclave has been released on Xbox. But only reaching limited success, the game is also on schedule now for GameCube. Confirmation has come from the developer that a GameCube version is in the works and will be released during the Holiday season.

"It is always a relief to finish a large project and even more fun when the game receives such good preview criticism as Enclave has," said Daniel Benitez, CEO of Starbreeze's parent company O3 Games. "During winter we will also be completing versions of Enclave for Sony PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube and PC."

Meanwhile Toxic Grind for GameCube has been cancelled, and only remains in development for Xbox. The game puts players in a TV contest to perform tricks and challenges.

"We wanted to make the game an Xbox exclusive," said a THQ spokesperson when questioned on the GCN termination. "We think that it's a better fit for the console."

Better fit for the console...? How much did Microsoft pay you to make it exclusive?
