News: Three More VC Titles For Europe

... but only two for France. Details inside!

Three more retro games have been released on Nintendo's Virtual Console download service, accessible through the Shop Channel on your Wii. The first however has not been made available in France due to "legal reasons". And that's as specific as Nintendo have chosen to be. The title in question is Skate or Die, originally released on the NES in 1990. Described as "the original skateboarding action game", it features ramps, half-pipes and all the usual skating fare. It's available now (unless you're French) for 500 Wii Points.

Second up is Blades of Steel another NES title from 1990, this time from Konami. It's an ice hockey simulation with plenty of different teams and a league of difficulty settings to work your way up. It's also priced at 500 Wii Points.

And finally, a third title from 1990, although this time from the Turbografx CD. The platformer Monster Lair takes players travelling on the back of a dragon, as they must save the day and the world - all the usual platformer stuff.

Full reviews as always are on their way in our next issue of VC Weekly! In the meantime, stuck on what to buy with your Wii Points? Check out our Christmas VC Buyer's Guide, written by our resident VC guru Sam.
