Turtle-powered, arcade-nostaligia gets a new lease of life on DS. Cowabunga!

From the pages of the latest Nintendo Power comes another new Turtles game - this one on DS - courtesy of Ubisoft. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Arcade Attack looks like it will be harking back to the classic 2D, roaming beat 'em up games fans know and love.

Arcade Attack will fully support 2-player co-op across 8 levels and several modes: Story, Survival, Time Attack and Boss Battle. Weapons stem into the melee and throwable, including baseball bats, crowbars and traffic cones, and you can expect to be using them to take on classic foes like Shredder as well as a host of new faces.

Each character also has their own special moves, and yes, you can throw enemies at the screen like in the classic arcade game. Arcade Attack also features many references and nods to the franchise's esteemed history, including picking up pizza and Chinese food to restore health. The game will also be punctuated throughout by comic-esque, black and white cutscenes.
