News: Two More 3D Classics Announced

It's the turn of the K's to get retro-dimensionalised...

Nintendo has been on a bit of 3DS-shaped roll today, and the news continues to funnel in. Two 'new' games were separately confirmed to be getting their own 3D Classics re-release on the eShop.

Nintendo of Europe were the ones to confirm a 3D Classics release of the late NES release Kirby's Adventure. It will be available in Europe very soon - November 17th - for 6.

Earlier, Satoru Iwata was in Japan to reveal a 3D Classics release of Kid Icarus. This title's release will be a bit more unconventional. It will first be made available as part of a (so far) Japan-only competition. People who buy and register on Club Nintendo two first party games this Christmas will be eligible in a draw to win one of 3000 Mario-themed, special edition 3DS's. Neatly for the Japanese though, anyone who enters will get 3D Classics: Kid Icarus for free. It will then get a traditional eShop release at a later date.

These games will join the current crop of 3D Classics remakes available: Excitebike, Xevious, Urban Champion and TwinBee.
