News: Ubisoft Have Big Plans For Wii

Seven launch titles will be making its way onto the system!

Update: IGN has details on the new games. They are: Far Cry, Blazing Angels, Open Season, GT Pro series and Monster 4x4 World Circuit. It has also been revealed that these will all be launch titles.

Far Cry was first released a couple of years ago with critical acclaim and later came to consoles. The Wii will recieve the console version 'Far Cry Instincts'. Blazing Angels a arcade World War 2 style flight game will also see release after it faired quite well on the XBOX360. Open Season is a game based around the new animated movie, GT Pro Series will be licenced from Japanese developer MTO and optimised for the Wii console by Ubisoft. The final game, Monster 4X4 World Circuit is an totally new franchise for the Wii.

Earlier, we reported that Midway would be bringing six titles to Wii in the near future. Well, it appears that Ubisoft have have "got one over" Midway, as they plan to bring a spectacular seven titles to Wii.

Two of these titles have already been confirmed as Rayman Raving Rabbids and the eagerly anticipated Red Steel.
