Argos have recently slashed the price of GameCubes in their store from �129 to �78 and this has caused a Gamecube buying frenzy! It was originally a way of getting rid of stock but it may mean Argos will continue to sell the Gamecube.

Last Saturday 5000 GameCubes were sold, compared to 100 the Saturday before, a 500% increase. This has encouraged Argos to continue selling the GameCube.

"The demand has been unbelievable. We've struggled to keep up and cleared out most of our overstock. It's been an unbelievable increase in demand. The previous Saturday we sold 100, this Saturday this leapt to almost 5,000." Stated an Argos reprisentative.
