News: UK Sales figures

Nintendo reveiled yesterday how many GameCubes have been sold in the first two hours of its midnight launch in the UK.

Nintendo of Europe's Marketing Manager David Gosen said that 10 000 GameCubes were sold just in those two hours. The total number of pre orders for the UK was 50 000.

Gosen also said that that Europe accounts for about 20% of Nintendo's business, and that figure is expected to rise to over 30% in the next five years.

More figures for the rest of Europe are expected this week.
