The N64 picture-em-up is heading to the Virtual Console, with a new Wii feature implemented. Details inside!

It has been revealed that the N64 title Pokémon Snap - where you travel around an island inhabited with the little critters armed with a camera and a desire to take the best pictures possible - is coming to the Virtual Console download service for the Wii.

Critically however, this new version of the title will allow for photos taken in the game to appear on your Wii Message Board, and then through that for them to be shared online.

What is important is that this is a complete reversal of Nintendo's previous policy for VC games - in that they will be identical to their original. Will gamers see an online Pokémon Stadium or Perfect Dark? It remains to be seen, but it is surely a step in a new, welcome, direction.

The title hits the Japanese VC this Tuesday, December 4th. We'll keep our ear to the ground and inform you when it's coming to Europe!
