An expansion to the Virtual Console has been announced by Nintendo, and is live as of right now!

Nintendo have confirmed at the GDC that an expansion to the Virtual Console has gone live, with a Virtual Console Arcade added as yet another platform to its bustling library of retro wonders.

As the name suggests, you'll now be able to play classic arcade games on your Wii after downloading them from the Wii Shopping Channel.

The service is live right now, and Mappy, Gaplus, the Tower Of Druaga and Starforce are available today for 500 Wii Points each.
