Video Games are becoming more popular day-by-day according to the Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association, ELSPA, who released statistics today which show that Mario and Co are more popular than ever in the United Kingdom. New figures released today show that video game software sales have risen by 7.1% from 2002 to 2003, meaning the market is worth �1.26 billion. Efforts to make gaming more mainstream, such as Game Stars Live, a terrestrial prime-time games award show, have obviously been successful.
