The Global Gaming League, due to launch this summer, will stage events and competitions with the task of promoting those gamers who chose to be professional video gamers, and will, indeed, "build the infrastructure for the sport of professional video gaming ("V-Sports")".
The league will use proprietary software to manage a constantly updated database of its ranking system, so its members can check their status anytime. They can also check their opponent's.
CEO Eric Rollman (who previously worked for Saban Entertainment and Fox Family) and founder Ted Owen hope that GGL's best players can be signed by videogame companies.
You can check the League's homepage here.
